The document sequencing feature is enabled, but no 'Automatic' document sequence exists within Oracle Receivables for this document category and date.

This error could happen if you are importing transactions via AutoInvoice and you have the profile "Sequential Numbering" set to Always Used, but you have not assigned an Automatic document sequence to the document category associated to the tranasction type you are attempting to interface.

Review whether you really want everything (transactions, receipts, adjustments) to use document sequencing. If this was not your intention, it is probably more accurate to set the Profile Option "Sequential Numbering" to Partially Used instead. Either way, you need to  make sure that for the transaction types you are interfacing, that you have completed the setup for document sequencing.

Credit memo type not found

To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:

In Projects, navigate to Setup > Implementation Options > Billing tab

Make a note of the value of the "Invoice Batch Source"
Sign in to the application with an Accounts Receivable responsibility.
Navigate to Setup > Transaction > Sources.

Query the Invoice Batch Source found above.
Ensure that the batch source is active.
Ensure automatic invoice and batch number are off.
Ensure that there is a value for Standard Transaction Type. Make a note of this value.
Navigate to Setup > Transaction > Transaction Types.

Query the Standard Transaction Type found above.
Ensure the following settings or options have been selected:

Class = Invoice.
Open Receivable box is checked.
Post to GL box is checked.
Creation Sign = Any Sign.
Start and End Date: The invoice date of the problem invoice must fall within the effective date range of the Transaction Type.
Credit Memo Type: This must have a value assigned. If it does not assign Projects Credit Memo
Repeat the above checks for the Credit Memo Type.
For the Credit Memo Type, the class should be Credit Memo rather than Invoice. All other checks are the same.

To Set ORG ID for R12 Oracle

To fetch data from views and to get the same for the required Organization ID, we need to set the org_id in the SQL Developer.

For SQL Developer:

BEGIN
MO_GLOBAL.SET_POLICY_CONTEXT('S', <org_id>);
END;

For SQL*PLUS:

SQL> exec mo_global.init('SQLAP'); exec mo_global.set_policy_context('S','&org_id');

For sqlplus to have same org context as given responsibility :

DECLARE
  l_resp_id             NUMBER;
  l_user_id             NUMBER;
  l_security_profile_id NUMBER;
  l_org_id              NUMBER;

BEGIN
  SELECT user_id INTO l_user_id FROM fnd_user WHERE user_name LIKE '&USER_NAME';
  SELECT responsibility_id
  INTO l_resp_id
  FROM FND_RESPONSIBILITY_VL
  WHERE responsibility_name LIKE '&responsibility_name';
  FND_GLOBAL.APPS_INITIALIZE(l_user_id, l_resp_id, <Application ID>);
  MO_GLOBAL.INIT('SQLAP');
END;
